First Kick-off Meetings is Tomorrow for Salton Sea Management Program Long-Range Planning Committee

The California Natural Resources Agency is virtually reconvening the Long-Range Planning Committee tomorrow, December 14. A second meeting is December 21. The committee will assist in the development of the Long-Range Plan.

While the State team implements the Salton Sea Management Program – Phase I: 10-Year Plan, it is simultaneously developing a path forward for the long-term restoration and management of the Salton Sea. The Long-Range Plan will reflect the input from tribal governments, community members, stakeholders, the Independent Review Panel, and the members of the Long-Range Planning Committee.

At the kickoff meetings, the Salton Sea team will share information on the Long-Range Plan and the role of the Long-Range Planning Committee. Each meeting will be the same so there is no need to participate in both meetings. Community members are welcome to attend and share their comments during the public comment period. You can participate via Zoom or by telephone.
