About four years ago, restoration work began in earnest as the Salton Sea Reclamation Act of 1998 was passed and the Department of Interior launched an intensive planning and scientific initiative. During this period, the Salton Sea Authority has made significant progress towards the restoration of the Salton Sea.  This progress, under the banner of the Salton Sea Restoration Project, has been achieved on a number of fronts, with help and cooperation of our partners and supporters, including the Department of Interior's Bureau of Reclamation.  This Report will summarize the many accomplishments of the Project over the last four years.
